MOTA-ENGIL INFORMS ABOUT THE SALE OF A MEXICAN CONCESSION FOR 66 MILLION EUROS WITHIN ITS ASSET ROTATION STRATEGY

MOTA-ENGIL S.G.P.S., S.A. ("MOTA-ENGIL") informs that through its subsidiaries MOTA-ENGIL MÉXICO and MOTA-ENGIL ENGENHARIA E CONSTRUÇÃO, it has completed the sale of its 28.73% stake in Cardel – Poza Rica concession, a transaction whose closing was expected for the second half of this year following the conditions precedent, which were now obtained.

The sale, which amounted to 66 million euros reflects a Price/Book Value multiple of 1.85x, which is also an indicator of the investment made. This transaction reaffirms MOTA-ENGIL's ability to generate value in the management of green field concessions, based on an infrastructure project design-construction strategy, which ends up on asset rotation. This strategy is well outlined in the Building´26 Strategic Plan.

In a market that MOTA-ENGIL considers of high potential given the new investment cycle that will require diversified financing sources in the future for infrastructure projects with relevant size to face the challenges promoted by the nearshoring, the asset rotation strategy will be a model to be pursued, considering the maturity of the projects in operation.
