Multiconsult is set to deliver consultancy services for Riksvei 3 and 25 (State highway 3 and 25)
Multiconsult, as a subcontractor to Aas Jacobsen, has been set to deliver
engineering services for Riksvei 3 and 25 in Løten and Elverum municipalities in
Norway for Skanska. This is the first public-private partnership contract in
Norway for more than 10 years.
The value of the contract for Multiconsult is estimated to approximately NOK 30
million. Work will begin immediately and the majority is planned to be completed
late 2020. Multiconsult will deliver consultancy services within all engineering
disciplines related to road construction, including road design, water and
waste, landscape architecture, geotechnics, geology, environment, plan and
regulation, transportation infrastructure, and acoustics.
Development of Riksvei 3 and 25 Ommangsvollen-Grundset / Basthjørnet in Hedmark
is important in strengthening these state highways, especially as for freight
transportation between Oslo and Trondheim. The development will also strengthen
Hamar and Elverum as housing and labor market regions. The project provides
increased traffic safety and accessibility, a better living environment along
the road, and a continuous offer for walking and cycling between Hamar and
Elverum.
The contract award is subject to standstill period, which expires on 27 March
