Multiconsult contract award with KfW Development Bank for GET FiT Zambia

Multiconsult contract award with KfW Development Bank for GET FiT Zambia

Multiconsult will manage the secretariat for GET FiT Zambia and provide

comprehensive commercial, technical and administrative support for the

realisation of the several projects within the GET FiT programme.

The value for the first phase of the contract for Multiconsult is estimated to

approximately NOK 27 million with additional options for approximately NOK 20

million for the second phase. Work will begin immediately and the majority is

planned to be completed by 2022.

GET FiT Zambia aims to assist the Zambian government with the implementation of

its REFit strategy to increase renewable power generation. The programme will

realise 200 MW of new power generation through small and medium sized

Independent Power Producer (IPP) projects. In the first phase, focus will be on

solar photovoltaics projects.

The project will be run from Multiconsult's office in Oslo and through a local

project office in Zambia.

The contract award is preliminary and subject to final approvals and a holding

period.
