AF Gruppen proceeds to possible new major contract

The Board of Nye Veier has decided that AF Gruppen proceeds to the specification phase for engineering and construction of the new E39 Kristiansand west - Mandal east motorway.

The project comprises 19 km of new four-lane motorway with a 110 km/h speed limit from Kristiansand west to Mandal east. Towards the end of September, AF Gruppen will in partnership with Nye Veier specify how the contract may be resolved. Final allocation of the contract will take place in the autumn of 2018. Construction is planned to start in 2018 with completion in October 2022.

A contract for this project will have a value of NOK 4 400 million excluding VAT.
