Builds cultural center and swimming hall for municipality
Betonmast, a subsidiary of AF Gruppen, has, through Betonmast Røsand and together with Asplan Viak, entered into an agreement to build a new cultural center and swimming hall for the municipality of Aukra. The project is structured as a collaboration contract with estimated contract sum of approx. NOK 186 million excl. VAT. The implementation phase will be carried out as a general contract where start-up and implementation depend on joint decisions made in the collaboration phase.
The new cultural center at Aukra will contain of, among other things, a 25m swimming pool, library, activity room, offices and banquet hall. The project has been named "Torget" and will be accessible 24/7 for inhabitants in Aukra. The building is a total of approx. 4700 m2 with associated outdoor areas.
"We look forward to embarking on the task. We have enjoyed an extensive and constructive co-operation with the customer in several major projects, most recently the Julsundet school and Gossen primary and secondary school. We are really looking forward to the further work on the project, and to continue the collaboration with the municipality and other advisors in the project", says Jørgen Evensen, CEO of Betonmast.
Work under the contract will start in the summer of 2020, with completion scheduled in the spring of 2022.
