Multiconsult awarded important contract for E16 Åsbygda-Olum for Skanska

Multiconsult has been selected as an advisor to Skanska to provide engineering

services for the design and construction of E16 between Åsbygda and Olum for the

Norwegian Public Roads Administration Region East (Statens vegvesen Region Øst).

The value of the contract to Multiconsult is estimated to be at least NOK 50

million. The work will start immediately and last until 2022.

The project includes design and construction of 10.5 km two-lane road with

centre railings, by-pass lanes and stop pockets. In addition, there will be

another 1 km of county road (fylkesvei), about 5 km of operating and forest

roads, two major crossings at Kleggerud and Olum and several constructions.
