Recommended by Avinor for new contract in the expansion of Oslo Airport Gardermoen
Avinor has recommended AF Gruppen as a contractor for execution of the “interior technical works” at Oslo Airport.
The project involves interior technical works in Non-Schengen East and is a main contract that includes electrical power, piping and ventilation. The contract is worth around NOK 200 million, excl. VAT. The works will start in March 2020, with completion expected in September 2021.
The project includes an extension of around 25,500 m2 to the East Pier. The works will be executed as an extension of the current East Pier at Oslo Airport Gardermoen and will result in significantly increased capacity for Non-Schengen flights. The extension of Oslo Airport is important in further developing Norway’s main airport as an international hub. It will ensure better capacity and provide better conditions for passengers and airlines, and also improve the general conditions for Norwegian travel, tourism and business.
“We are pleased we can help Avinor upgrade Oslo Airport Gardermoen to meet the aviation needs of the future. Functional and energy efficient solutions are important elements in the expansion of one of Norway’s most important hubs. When we deliver energy and environmental services, our goal is not just to fulfil the requirements and specifications, but also to offer extra value in a good partnership with our clients,” says Eirik Wraal, EVP Energy and Environment at AF Gruppen.
