Betonmast to build new fire station in Lillehammer
Betonmast, a subsidiary of AF Gruppen, has signed a contract with Lillehammer municipality to build the new Lillehammer fire station. The contract is an integrated construction contract valued at approximately NOK 138 million excluding VAT.
Betonmast Innlandet won the tender competition to design the fire station around a year ago. After a constructive integration period, the parties have optimised the project, which is now ready to start construction.
“We have good partnership with the client in Lillehammer municipality. Throughout the period we have identified solutions that allow the project to be realised within the given financial boundaries. The fact that the project continues as an integration project also bodes well for the project implementation,” says CEO Jørgen Evensen of Betonmast.
The fire station, which will also accommodate the chimney sweep service and civil defence, will have a total gross area of 4,850 square metres. Building is scheduled to start in May 2020, and according to plan, the station will be complete by the end of 2021.
