Change to dividend proposal

The Board of Directors of Bouvet ASA has today decided to reduce the previously announced dividend of NOK 16.50 per share. Instead the Board of Directors will propose to the general meeting to pay a dividend of NOK 8.25. Furthermore, it will be proposed that the general meeting grants an authorization to the Board of Directors to resolve additional dividends based on the annual account for 2019, upcoming market developments and the company's equity and liquidity. The authorization will cover the period until the annual general meeting in 2021.

The decision was made after thorough assessments by the board and administration based on the uncertainty that now prevails regarding the development of the coronavirus outbreak, the government’s measures, and general economic and market trends.

The decision does not entail any changes to the company's dividend policy, which is to distribute a significant proportion of the previous year’s net profit to the owners.
