Betonmast builds 145 rental apartments outside Stockholm

Betonmast, a subsidiary of AF Gruppen, has signed a contract with the cooperative BoKoop for the construction of 145 rental apartments in Nykvarn, southwest of Stockholm. The contract is a turn key contract with a value of approximately SEK 142 million, excluding VAT.

The project is described as forward-looking and it focuses on sustainability through energy efficiency, solar panels, a recycling centre, bicycle service and charger, dedicated e-commerce space and an electric car pool. The apartments are area-efficient and of a good standard with their own balcony or patio, in addition to common areas. The total area for the project is 8,300 square metres.

“We look forward to contributing to the development of sustainable and area-efficient rental housing in the Stockholm area,” says Jørgen Evensen, CEO of Betonmast. This will be a long-awaited addition to the market for smaller apartments in the area, concludes Evensen.

The project will start in the second quarter of 2020, and occupation in the second quarter of 2022.
