Building school and sports hall in Lørenskog
Betonmast, a subsidiary of AF Gruppen, has signed a contract with Lørenskog municipality to build Fjellhamar school in Lørenskog. The contract, which is a turnkey contract in partnership, is valued at approximately NOK 1,200 million excluding VAT.
The construction project involves building a new elementary school with room for almost 1,200 pupils in six parallel classes from grades 1 to 7. The school building will be approximately 18,000 m2 in size. In addition, a sports building will be erected with two multi-purpose halls and a swimming pool. Underneath the sports building, which will be approximately 10,000 square metres in size, there will be a parking facility with space for around 80 cars.
The project starts this summer, and the school is scheduled to welcome pupils in January 2023.
“This is an impressive, future-oriented project that we are looking forward to start working on. The school, which will be one of Norway’s largest elementary schools, will play a key part in the development of new Fjellhamar. It will vitalise the area and give the local area new opportunities for different activities. This applies not only to the two multi-purpose halls and the swimming pool, but also the school building and associated outdoor areas, which will be accessible after school hours as well,” says CEO Jørgen Evensen of Betonmast.
