New wind power assignment in southern Sweden
AF Gruppen's subsidiary Kanonaden Entreprenad will carry out construction work for two nearby wind farms in southern Sweden. The contract amounts to approximately SEK 160 million, excluding VAT.
The 86 MW project consists of 20 wind turbines and will produce renewable electricity corresponding to the average annual consumption of 44,000 households.
Kanonaden is responsible for the construction of roads and foundations as well as excavation and backfilling for the electricity grid in the wind farms.
In recent years, Kanonaden has built up extensive experience of construction assignments for wind power and is today involved in several ongoing projects.
“We are pleased to be able to contribute to strengthening the supply of renewable electricity in southern Sweden, where there is currently a shortage of electricity, and at the same time work towards Sweden's national goal of one hundred percent renewable electricity production by 2040”, says Bård Frydenlund, Executive Vice President of AF Gruppen Sweden.
