Ruling on licenses by the UUA
Reference is made to information disclosed in the Company’s earlier market updates from both 29th of February 2024 related to Ísafjarðardjúp and 21st of March 2024 related to Patreks- and Tálknafjörður.
Today, the Environmental and Natural Resources Board of Appeal (UUA) in Iceland issued three rulings on Arctic Fish’s licenses, affirming our production capacity and supporting our growth plans:
License Renewals in Patreksfjörður and Tálknafjörður: The UUA rejected complaints regarding the renewal of our operational and environmental licenses for these sites, confirming the continuation of activities as planned.
Operational License in Ísafjarðardjúp: The UUA annulled portions of the license for the Kirkjusund and Arnarnes sites in Ísafjarðardjúp and instructed the Icelandic Food and Veterinary Authority to conduct further review. These two sites, which have never been operational, will not impact our current production capacity and forecast.
“These rulings ensure that Arctic Fish’s production capacity remains unchanged, allowing us to confidently progress towards our target of 25,000 tonnes by 2029. We view these resolutions as positive steps that provide clarity and enable us to continue our growth with certainty” said CEO, Stein Ove Tveiten.
