SUCCESS OF EUROPEAN TECHNOLOGY IN INDONESIA: AROUND EURO 14 MILLION CONTRACT AWARDED TO TESMEC GROUP IN THE SECTOR OF STRINGING EQUIPMENT.

• International recognition of Tesmec technology, recognized for the superior quality of its solutions for the construction of new high voltage power lines;
• This project represents the first major order in a strategic country like Indonesia which plans significant investment in the electricity transmission field;
• The customer is PT PLN (Persero), the Indonesian State-owned Power Company.

Grassobbio (Bergamo - Italy), 7 November 2016 – Tesmec S.p.A. (MTA, STAR: TES), head of a group leader in the market of infrastructures related to the transport and distribution of energy, data and materials, announces the award of a contract for the supply of 25 complete sets (machines and equipment) for the stringing of overhead conductors for high voltage power transmission with PT PLN (Persero), the Indonesian State-owned Power Company that holds a monopoly and managed the distribution and transmission of electricity in the Country.

The project, of a total value of around Euro 14 million, awarded by the technical way of a consortium with the local agent of Tesmec in line with the tender requirements provides in addition a local training of the staff carried out by the Group. The first deliveries expected for year end.

The new order represents a further international recognition of the superior quality of the solutions offered by Tesmec for the construction of new power lines since the Group ensured full respect of tender fundamental requirements, including timeliness in delivery, more than thirty years experience in the stringing industry as well as equipment production in an OECD country.

This award is a first success in a market like Indonesia which plans important investments for the construction of new power lines and significant projects for the modernization of existing power infrastructure.
