NOTICE PURSUANT TO THE FINNISH SECURITIES MARKET ACT, CHAPTER 2, SECTION 10

Elisa has received the following notice in accordance with Chapter 2, Section 9 of the Finnish Securities Market Act: The Government of Finland announces a share purchase which results its ownership to increase over the limits set out in the Finnish Securities Market Act chapter 2 section 9 in Elisa (ELI1V). The Government of Finland has today purchased from Varma Mutual Pension Insurance Company (business identity code: 0533297-9) 16,000,000 Elisa shares. The purchased shares correspond to 9.62 per cent of Elisa's shares and voting rights. After the purchase the ownership of the Government of Finland is 9.62 per cent of Elisa's shares and voting rights. Total number of Elisa shares is 166,307,586 and each share carries one voting right.
