• MG Cars and Honda award advertising budget of around half a million euros
to BMC Flying Dragon
• Engagement to be substantially expanded
Stuttgart, April 26, 2007: Business Media China AG (ISIN DE0005250401,
German Securities Code 525040) is a specialist for media and marketing in
China, has won the competition for the airport advertising budgets of Honda
and MG Cars with a total volume of around half a million euros. BMC Flying
Dragon Advertising Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of Business Media China AG (BMC
AG), is one of the leading Chinese airport media companies and will support
these two automotive companies in future. Honda and MG Cars will together
invest CNY 5.16 million (around EUR 500,000) in long-term advertising
engagements at Peking and Qingdao airports, the central airport for the
Olympics. Thanks to BMC Flying Dragon, the advertising companies can reach
their target groups throughout China at its key airports with high numbers
of passengers – with high levels of awareness.
In the coming months, MG Cars, represented by China South Automobile, will
use BMC Flying Dragon’s high-quality automotive presentation areas at
Beijing International Airport, where it will present limousines and SUV
models to Chinese and international audiences. Honda and the media agency
Hakuhodo, one of the leading agencies in the Asian region, will use
state-of-the-art backlit boxes at the Olympic airport in Qingdao for 18
months for the CR-V and Odyssey models. Both of the automotive
manufacturers plan to expand this engagement significantly in future.
'Right now we are seeing a strong increase in demand for airport
advertising by large national and international manufacturers of branded
goods,' explained Klaus Michael Hilligardt, Business Media China AG’s CEO.
'This trend towards exclusive representation at China’s key airports makes
us even more certain of our strategy of focusing on premium products as one
of the leading providers of airport advertising space. In contrast to our
competitors, we also offer our services China-wide. We have once again been
able to convince two well-known international manufacturers of branded
goods - MG Cars and Honda - with our model. We are optimistic that others
will follow,' continued Klaus Michael Hilligardt.
