• Revenues up 24.8% in first half of 2007 to €20.15 million

Cologne, 30 August 2007: WIGE MEDIA AG (SCN: 634770) has published its
report on the first half of 2007. In the first six months of the year,
revenues increased on the back of the continued success of the efficiency
and earnings improvement programme, totalling €20.15 million compared with
€16.15 million in the same period of 2006. This corresponds to year-on-year
growth of 24.8% or €4 million. EBITDA rose by €0.78 million as against the
previous year, from €1.3 million to €2.08 million, while EBIT for the first
half of the year was up €0.63 million to €-1.05 million after €-1.68
million in the previous year. EBT also improved by €0.87 million in the
first six months of 2007, amounting to €-1.42 million compared with €-2.29
million in the corresponding prior-year period. At the balance sheet date,
the net loss for the period totalled €1.56 million after €1.7 million in
the first half of 2006. All prior-period amounts have been adjusted for the
non-recurring effect of the disposal of WIGE DATA GmbH in the previous
year.

The second quarter saw revenue growth from €12.31 million to €13.1 million
accompanied by the first results of the measures initiated by the Company.
EBIT for the second quarter of 2007 amounted to €1.17 million, compared
with €0.99 million in the same period of the previous year, whereas pre-tax
profit (EBT) improved by €0.35 million to €1.02 million. The net profit for
the period increased from €0.32 million in the second quarter of 2006 to
€0.9 million in the second quarter of 2007.

The achievement of the Company's internal forecasts for the first half of
2007 – the transitional year for its new strategic orientation – serves to
reinforce the measures initiated by the Executive Board, which are aimed at
generating a sustainable improvement in earnings before taxes (EBT) for the
financial year and an adequate yield that is in line with the industry as a
whole from 2008 onwards.
