Business Media China signs strategic cooperation in Chengdu

Business Media China (WKN 525040) and Chengdu Exhibition Centre join forces
to strengthen Chengdu as B2B Exhibition place

Chengdu/Stuttgart, January 17, 2008 - Mr. Zhao Kai, President of Exhibition
and Travel Group (ETG), Chengdu/China and Arend J.R. van Eeden, Board
Member of Business Media China AG (BMC), Stuttgart/Germany, have signed a
Letter of Intent with the purpose to develop together a strong portfolio of
B2B exhibitions in the brandnew exhibition centre in Chengdu and the
province of Sichuan. To this purpose both partners will establish together
a new company, into which Exhibition and Travel Group will transfer their
existing exhibitions (China Western International Leather & Shoes Expo and
Sichuan Wedding Expo). BMC will provide its vast international exhibition
expertise and network to the Joint Venture.

Chengdu is the number 4 city in China, it has achieved rapidly growing
economic importance through its booming high tech industry over the last
years. With well over 35 million inhabitants in the greater area, Chengdu
is considered as one of the fastest growing cities in China and a gateway
to the West of China. The brandnew 50’000 square meter exhibition centre is
one of the most modern centres in China.

The signing ceremony was witnessed by Mr. Li Chuncheng, deputy secretary of
the city party committee, the mayor of Chengdu Mr. Ge Lin, vice mayor Mr.
Zhang He Hua and the deputy secretary general of the municipal government
Mr. Tang Gong Li. There is strong support for this cooperation by the
Chengdu government and various business institutions in Sichuan.
