STEICO AG appoints new CFO

• Jan von Hofacker is STEICO AG's new CFO

Feldkirchen (Munich), December 19, 2008 – Mr. Jan von Hofacker has been
appointed as a new member of the Managing Board of STEICO AG (ISIN
DE000A0OR936) by way of a resolution by the Supervisory Board dated
December 18, 2008. Mr. von Hofacker will join the company with effect from
January 1, 2009 and will be responsible for finance.
