Electrocomponents Plc - Directors' Declaration

Electrocomponents plc is pleased to announce that Ian Mason, Group Chief Executive, has been appointed an independent Non-Executive Director of QinetiQ Group plc, a provider of technical support in the global defence, aerospace and security markets, and employing more than 6,000 people.  

On appointment, Ian will become a member of the Audit, Remuneration, Nominations, Risk & CSR and Security Committees. 

The appointment will take effect immediately.

This announcement is being made pursuant to 9.6.14 of the Listing Rules
