Fernheizwerk Neukölln AG is the traditional local district heating supplier in the metropolitan core area of the Berlin district of Neukölln. The central location, where the administration is also located, is the Weigandufer heating plant. The company generates and distributes heating to around 40,000 households, various department stores, hotels and other commercial customers, as well as to public institutions close to the city centre.

The high share of about 30% in the local heating market indicates a high heat density in the supply area and thus creates a valuable business basis. Long-term customer loyalty, overall low price risks and high flexibility in the use of fuel and the purchase of heat result in additional favourable conditions for the pipeline-based heat supply.
