The BVZ Group brings together seven subsidiaries and holdings with different focuses under one roof. As owner/shareholder, BVZ Holding AG is listed on the SIX Swiss Exchange in Zurich.

The railway companies are the central element of the group. These include the Matterhorn Gotthard Bahn as well as the two top tourist trademark brands, the Gornergrat Bahn and the Glacier Express.

The Matterhorn Gotthard Bahn delivers public transport services on behalf of the government as well as the cantons of Valais, Uri and Graubünden. The railway network runs from the Mattertal valley to Visp, Brig and Goms and then all the way to the Urserntal valley and the Surselva. The automobile transport service on the Furka and Oberalp along with the freight transport to Zermatt are also part of the Matterhorn Gotthard Bahn.
