８ 偶発債務 当社、連結子会社である日本エステル株式会社およびその他３社の計５社（以下「被告ら」という。）が製造、加工または販売した高伸度防砂シートに関して、代表者東亜建設工業株式会社およびその他２社の計３社で構成された特定建設工事共同体から損害賠償請求訴訟を提訴され、当該訴訟に係る訴状を2021年８月24日に受領した。 その内容は、那覇空港滑走路増設埋立工事の一部工区に、当該高伸度防砂シートを使用したところ、短期間で著しく強度低下したために破れが発生し、これに伴い陥没や空洞が発生したことから補修工事を余儀なくされたことを理由に、被告らに製造物責任ないし瑕疵担保責任に基づく損害賠償（2,142百万円）並びに遅延損害金の支払いを求めたものである。 この訴訟は、現在係争中であり、当社としては、相手側の主張が誤りであることを立証するなど、適切な防御を行っていく所存である。 |
