Umicore is de circulaire materiaaltechnologiegroep. Umicore legt zich toe op toepassingsgebieden waar haar expertise inzake materiaalwetenschappen, scheikunde en metallurgie een concreet verschil maken. Haar activiteiten zijn ondergebracht in vier business groups: Battery Materials, Catalysis, Recycling en Specialty Materials. Elke business group is georganiseerd in marktgerichte business units die materialen en oplossingen aanbieden die toonaangevend zijn in nieuwe technologische ontwikkelingen en onmisbaar in het dagelijkse leven. Umicore genereert het merendeel van haar inkomsten uit en wijdt het grootste deel van haar O&O-inspanningen aan schone mobiliteitsmaterialen en recyclage. De doorgedreven doelstelling van Umicore – duurzame waarde creëren – vloeit voort uit de ambitie om materialen te ontwikkelen, te produceren en te recycleren op een manier die beantwoordt aan haar missie: ‘Materials for a better life’. De industriële en commerciële activiteiten en de O&O-activiteiten van Umicore zijn over de hele wereld verspreid om haar wereldwijde klantenbasis zo goed mogelijk te dienen.
