The financial statements of d'Amico International Shipping Group are prepared in accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS - International Financial Reporting Standards and IAS - International Accounting Standards) as issued by the 'IASB' (International Accounting Standards Board) and adopted by the European Union. The designation 'IFRS' also includes all 'IAS', as well as all interpretations of the International Financial Reporting Interpretations Committee 'IFRIC', formerly the Standing Interpretations Committee 'SIC' as adopted by the European Union

The capital structure is reviewed during the year and, if needed, adjusted depending on the Group's capital requirements, changes in the general economic conditions and industry risk characteristics. The Group monitors its capital on the basis of the 'assets cover ratio' equal to the sum of  the outstanding amounts on its facilities and lease liabilities over the fair market value of the owned and bareboat vessels.
