Zumtobel AG: Karin Sonnenmoser to be appointed new CFO of Zumtobel AG

Dornbirn (pta009/07.01.2014/12:45) - The Supervisory Board of Zumtobel AG has appointed Karin Sonnenmoser as the new Chief Financial Officer of Zumtobel AG. The 44-year-old business administration graduate is appointed for a three-year term and will take up her new role on 1 May, 2014. She will take over management of the company's financial agenda from Dr. Ulrich Schumacher who, since becoming CEO on 1 October 2013, has also been interim CFO of Zumtobel AG.

Karin Sonnenmoser studied Business Administration at the University of Augsburg in Germany and during her course also earned an MBA from the University of Dayton in Ohio, USA. She began her career in 1995 on the management trainee programme of Volkswagen AG. From 1996 to the present day she has held numerous positions in the financial sector at the Volkswagen Group, starting in accounts with the Group's Spanish subsidiary Seat in Barcelona. Karin Sonnenmoser went on to take charge of various functions in Controlling and Accounting at the Volkswagen Passenger Cars brand. From 2002 to 2006 she headed up the General Secretariat of the Volkswagen Brand Group, a role in which she was also Secretary General to the Chairman of the Management Board of Volkswagen AG in Wolfsburg. During the period from 2007 to 2010 she was initially appointed Managing Director and subsequently Chair of the Management Board of AutoVision GmbH. Since 2010 she has been Managing Director Finance and Controlling at Volkswagen Sachsen GmbH as well as Financial Director of the training institute Volkswagen Bildungsinstitut GmbH in Zwickau. In 2011 she also assumed the position of Managing Director Finance and Controlling at Gläserne Manufaktur in Dresden, sharing responsibility for revenues of EUR 5.5 billion and for 9,600 employees at four locations.
