(“Zimplats” or “the Company”)
DIRECTORATE CHANGES
The Board of Directors of Zimplats (“the Board”) wishes to announce the following directorate changes:
Dr Sydney Mufamadi has been appointed as the Chairman of the Board with effect from 1 July 2015. Dr Mufamadi was appointed as an Independent Non-Executive Director of Impala Platinum Holdings Limited (“Implats”) on 5 March 2015 and as a Non-Executive Director of Zimplats on 1 May 2015. Dr Mufamadi holds MSc and PhD Degrees and he is the current Director of the School of Leadership at the University of Johannesburg.
Mr Bernard Swanepoel has been appointed as a Non-Executive Director of Zimplats with effect from 1 July 2015. He was appointed as an Independent Non-Executive Director of Implats on 5 March 2015. Mr Swanepoel (BSc (Mining Engineering) and BCom (Hons)) brings with him extensive deep-level mining and commercial experience. He is currently a Partner at To-The-Point Growth Specialists, is the Non-Executive Chairman of Village Main Reef and serves as a Non-Executive Director on the boards of Sanlam Limited and African Rainbow Minerals Limited. He was previously the Chief Executive Officer of Village Main Reef Limited and the Chief Executive Officer of Harmony Gold Mining Company Limited.
Mr Robert Still will retire as a Non-Executive Director of the Company on 30 June 2015. He was appointed as a Director in 1998 as part of the founding Board of Directors of the Company and served as the Company’s Chairman between 2001 and 2004. The Board extends its appreciation to Rob for his significant and valuable contribution to the Company and wishes him all the best in his future endeavours.
As from 1 July 2015, the full of Board of Directors of Zimplats Holdings Limited will be constituted as follows:
