ASX ANNOUNCEMENT

RESIGNATION OF CHAIRMAN OF THE BOARD

Zimplats announces the resignation of David Brown as Chairman and nonexecutive director of the Board with effect from 30 June 2012.

This follows David’s resignation from that date as Chief Executive Officer from the majority shareholder, Impala Platinum Holdings Limited.

David has been an integral part of the development and success of the company since joining the board in 2001. He was appointed Chairman in March 2010.

The Board of Directors thanks him for his very valuable contribution to the company over the years and wishes him every success in pursuing his own interests in the future.

Shareholders will be notified of his successor in due course.
