NON-EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR TO RETIRE FOLLOWING 2011 AGM

WHL Energy Limited ( ASX: WHN ) (“ WHL Energy ” or “ the Company ”) announces that Non-executive Director Peter Bartter will retire effective upon the conclusion of the of the 2011 AGM.

This follows the recent decision by Mr Bartter to step down as Chairman which was announced to the market on 30 September 2011.

Peter Bartter plans to pursue other business interests after playing an important role in steering the Company to its current strong financial position. Mr Bartter remains one of the Company’s largest shareholders and looks forward remaining a major shareholder as the Company continues to grow shareholder value both in the Seychelles and elsewhere.

The WHL Energy Board and Management thank Mr Bartter for his significant and strategic contribution to the Company over the past six years and for his ongoing support as a major shareholder.
