Director Shareholding

The Board of Rose Petroleum plc, the AIM quoted (AIM: ROSE) natural resources company, was informed today that Matthew Idiens, CEO, yesterday sold 18,113,468 ordinary shares of 1p each in the Company ("Ordinary Shares") at 0.126 pence per Ordinary Share and then purchased 20,000,000 Ordinary Shares at 0.127 pence per share in his SIPP.  As a result of these transactions, Matthew Idiens' total beneficial interest in Ordinary Shares has increased to 22,025,744 Ordinary Shares, representing approximately 0.72 per cent. of the Company's issued share capital.
