TRADING HALT
The securities of Zenith Minerals Ltd (the "Company") will be placed in Trading Halt Session State at the request of the Company, pending the release of an announcement by the Company. Unless ASX decides otherwise, the securities will remain in Trading Halt Session State until the earlier of the commencement of normal trading on Wednesday 31 October 2012 or when the announcement is released to the market.

RE: REQUEST FOR TRADING HALT - ZENITH MINERALS LIMITED
In accordance with ASX Listing Rule 17.1, Zenith Minerals Limited (ASX: ZNC) requests a trading halt pending the release of an announcement relating to a capital raising.
The Company requests that the trading halt be effective immediately and continue up to the commencement of trading on Wednesday 31 st October or upon the release of an announcement by the Company regarding the capital raising.
The Company is not aware of any reason why the trading halt should not be granted, or of any information necessary to inform the market about the trading halt.
