Directorate Changes

Zambeef (AIM: ZAM), the fully integrated cold chain foods and retail business with operations in Zambia, Nigeria and Ghana, today announces Graham John Clark has stepped down as a Non-executive Director with immediate effect in order to take up the full time role of CEO of Fiji Sugar Corporation Ltd. The Company also announces the appointment of three new non-executive directors to broaden the depth of experience and diversity present on its Board of Directors (the "Board"). Yollard Kachinda, Margaret Kunda Chalwe-Mudenda and Enala Lyson Tembo-Mwase have been appointed to the Company's Board with effect from 18th April 2017.

Yollard Kachinda is a Zambian national and is currently Director General of the National Pension Scheme Authority ("NAPSA") which holds 8.3 per cent of the Company's equity. As Director General, he has the overall responsibility for, and  oversight of, the day to day running of the scheme, as mandated by the Board of Trustees. Yollard studied Mathematics & Statistics at the University of Zambia and has a Masters in Social Protection Financing from Maastricht University.

Margaret Kunda Chalwe-Mudenda is a Zambian lawyer. Margaret previously worked as a legal practitioner from 1996 to 2009, during which time she was also employed by Zambia National Commercial Bank Plc ("Zanaco"), a Zambian financial services company, as in-house counsel between 1999 and 2004. Since 2010, she has been Director General of Zambia Information and Communications Authority ("Zicta"), an information and communications technology ('ICT') regulator which is under Zambian government supervision. She has a Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of Zambia (UNZA), a post graduate diploma in legislative drafting from the Zambia Institute of Advanced Legal Educdation (ZIALE) and a Master of Law degree (LLM) in Information Technology and Telecommunications (ITT) Southampton University.

Enala Lyson Tembo-Mwase is a prominent Zambian academic. She is an Associate Professor of Parasitology at the University of Zambia where she served for 29 years.  She is currently University of Zambia's Deputy Vice Chancellor, and briefly served as the university's acting Vice Chancellor from June 2015 to July 2016. Enala has a Bachelor of Science degree in biological sciences from the University of Zambia, a Master of Science (Medical Parasitology) and Doctorate degree (Zoology-Entomology) from the University of London.

Zambeef Chairman, Dr Jacob Mwanza, commented: "I would like to thank Graham for his contribution to Zambeef since he was appointed to the Board. Graham's extensive business experience has been greatly appreciated.
