EXTENSION OF LONG STOP DATE IN RELATION TO THE PLACING

The Company has entered into a supplemental agreement with the Placing Agent to extend the Long Stop Date to 31 December 2003.

Reference is made to the announcement of the Company dated 27 August 2003 and the circular (the “Circular”) of the Company dated 10 September 2003, in respect of the Capital Reorganization, reduction of the Share Premium Account and the Placing. Terms and expressions used herein shall have the same meanings in the announcement dated 27 August 2003 and the Circular unless the context requires otherwise.

Pursuant to the Placing Agreement, Completion of the Placing has to take place on or before the third Business Day after the fulfillment of all the conditions under the Placing Agreement and such conditions have to be satisfied on or before the Long Stop Date, being 31 October 2003. The Directors announce that a supplemental agreement was entered into by and between the Company and the Placing Agent on 28 October 2003 to extend the Long Stop Date to 31 December 2003, the reasons being that the Placing Agent is still in the course of looking for Placees and thus more time is required by the Placing Agent to do so.
