FURTHER EXTENSION OF LONG STOP DATE IN RELATION TO THE PLACING

The Company has entered into a 2[nd] supplemental agreement with the Placing Agent to further extend the Long Stop Date to 29 February 2004.

Reference is made to the announcement of the Company dated 27 August 2003 and the circular (the “Circular”) of the Company dated 10 September 2003, both in respect of the Capital Reorganization, reduction of the Share Premium Account and the Placing, and the announcement of the Company dated 28 October 2003 (the “Announcement”). Terms and expressions used herein shall have the same meanings in the announcement dated 27 August 2003, the Circular and the Announcement unless the context requires otherwise.

As announced in the Announcement, the Company and the Placing Agent entered into a supplemental agreement on 28 October 2003, by which the Long Stop Date was extended to 31 December 2003. The Directors announce that a 2[nd] supplemental agreement was entered into by and between the Company and the Placing Agent on 19 December 2003 to further extend the Long Stop Date to 29 February 2004, the reasons being that the Placing Agent is still in the course of looking for Placees and thus more time is required by the Placing Agent to do so.
