MR ADRIAN HILL APPOINTED AS DIRECTOR

The Directors of Southern Crown Resources Limited ("Southern Crown" or “the Company”) are pleased to announce that Mr Adrian Hill has joined the Board as a non-executive director to assist the company through this transitional stage.

Adrian is an executive director with Westoria Capital, a private mineral resources investment vehicle. He is a Chartered Accountant and Fellow of the Financial Services Institute of Australia. Adrian has worked on a range of businesses within the infrastructure, mining and mineral exploration sectors. His international appointments have included roles in investment banking in London with Credit Suisse First Boston and in the finance division of Natwest Markets global debt trading operation.

Adrian has been Southern Crown’s Company Secretary since incorporation.

As announced on 12 April 2012 as part of the divestment of Rare Earth International, the Company’s Managing Director, Dr Jock Harmer, has indicated his intention to resign from Southern Crown on 3 June 2012 at the end of his contractual employment period to pursue opportunities within the rare earth sector.
