Benefited from the robust export demand driven by the global economic recovery, manufacturers are optimistic about the future market prospect. In addition, with favorable factors including the increase of domestic investment, returning of Taiwanese businessmen from overseas, and the investment expansion in semiconductor industry, the economy is expected to continue to grow steadily.

Cumulative TIV (total industrial volume) from January to April were 155,024 units, a year-over-year increase of 18.5%. However, considering the uncertainty of the COVID-19 epidemic, the annual TIV is still conservatively estimated at 427,000 units (excluding heavy vehicles).
