Yamama Cement Co. announces primary financial results for the period ended 31/3/2013 ( 3 Months ) .

1.Net profit during the 1st Q SAR (277) million versus SAR (278) for the same quarter of the last year with decrease of 0.36%, compared to SAR (174) million for the previous quarter with increase 59 %.

2.Gross profit during the 1st Q SAR (293) million versus SAR (300) million for the same quarter of the last year with decrease of 2%.

3.Operating profit during the 1st Q SAR (279) million versus SAR (287) million for the same quarter of the last year with decrease of 3%.

4.EPS during 1st Q is SAR (1.37) per share versus SAR (1.37) per share for the same period of the last year.

5.The main reason for decrease in the net profit for 1st Q compared to the same quarter last year to lower average selling price.

6.The main reason for increase in the net profit for 1st Q compared to previous quarter is increase quantities sold due to the increase in the domestic demand.
