SUPPLEMENTAL ANNOUNCEMENT IN RELATION TO 2020 ANNUAL REPORT

Reference is made to the 2020 Annual Report (the “ Annual Report ”) published by Chongqing Iron & Steel Company Limited (the “ Company ”) on 27 April 2021. Capitalised terms used herein shall bear the same meanings as defined in the Annual Report.

In addition to the information disclosed in item III(19) “Payroll and employee benefits payable” under the section headed “Notes to the Financial Statements” in the Annual Report, the Board of the Company would like to provide the following information in relation to the defined contribution scheme of the Group for the year ended 31 December 2020 pursuant to paragraph 26(2) of Appendix 16 to the Rules Governing the Listing of Securities on The Stock Exchange of Hong Kong Limited:

The Group has no forfeiture of contributions under the defined contribution scheme (i.e. contributions processed by the employer on behalf of the employee who has left the scheme prior to vesting fully in such contributions). As at 31 December 2020, no forfeited contribution under the defined contribution scheme is available for the Group to reduce the existing level of contributions.
