ANNOUNCEMENT ON APPOINTMENT OF GENERAL LEGAL COUNSEL OF THE COMPANY

Chongqing Iron & Steel Company Limited (the “ Company ”) has strived to promote enterprises administration under laws, improve the legal system, enhance the legal capacity, and deepen the construction of the specialisation and professionalism of general legal counsel. On 18 March 2022, the 9[th] meeting of the ninth session of the board of directors was held, at which the Resolution in relation to the Appointment of General Legal Counsel of the Company was considered and approved, pursuant to which the board of directors appointed Mr. Zou An as the general legal counsel of the Company based on the nomination of the Company’s president. The biographical details of Mr. Zou An are set out below:

Mr. Zou An (鄒安), born in November 1974, is a senior accountant. He currently serves as a director, senior vice president, chief financial officer, secretary to the board of directors and a member of the party committee of the Company. Mr. Zou successively served as the director of accounting and taxation of the finance department, director of budget management, senior manager of performance evaluation of China Baowu Steel Group Corporation Limited, the head of the operation and finance department, assistant to president (acting), vice president and head of the operation and finance department of Baosteel Development Company Limited, and the deputy general manager of Baowu Group Environmental Resources Technology Co., Ltd. Mr. Zou graduated from the East China University of Metallurgy (華東冶金學院) in 1996, majoring in accounting, and then obtained a master’s degree in finance from Fudan University.

As of the date of this announcement, Mr. Zou An does not hold any shares of the Company. Mr. Zou does not have any connected relationship with the Company’s directors, supervisors, senior management members, de facto controllers and shareholders with 5% shareholdings. There are no instances where Mr. Zou is not eligible for nomination as a senior management member.
