ANNOUNCEMENT IN RELATION TO CHANGE OF SENIOR MANAGEMENT

Mr. Li Yongxiang, the general manager of the Chongqing Iron & Steel Company Limited (the “ Company ”), recently tendered his resignation from his position as the general manager to the board of directors (the “ Board ”) of the Company due to work. Mr. Li Yongxiang has confirmed that there is no disagreement with the Board, the supervisory committee and the management of the Company, and there is no matter relating to his resignation that need to be brought to the attention of the Company and its shareholders.

Mr. Li Yongxiang will remain as a director of the Company after resigning as the general manager. During his tenure of office as the general manager, Mr. Li Yongxiang performed his duties diligently and conscientiously, and the Board would like to express sincere gratitude to him for his contributions to the development of the Company.

According to the Company Law of the People’s Republic of China, the Articles of Association of Chongqing Iron & Steel Company Limited and other regulations, as reviewed and approved by the nomination committee of the Board of the Company and recognized by the independent directors of the Company, the Resolution in relation to the Appointment of Senior Management of the Company was considered and approved at the sixteenth meeting of the eighth session of the Board of the Company, resolving the appointment of Mr. Liu Jianrong as the general manager of the Company, with his tenure of office commencing on the date after he resigned from relevant positions and completed relevant procedures pursuant to relevant provisions and ending on the expiration date of the eighth session of the Board of the Company, and the appointment of Mr. Zou An and Mr. Xie Chao as deputy general managers of the Company, with their tenure of office commencing on the date after they resigned from relevant positions and completed relevant procedures pursuant to relevant provisions and ending on the expiration date of the eighth session of the Board of the Company.

The biographical details of Mr. Liu Jianrong

Liu Jianrong, born in September 1974, is a member of the Communist Party of China (“ CPC ”) and a senior engineer. Mr. Liu currently serves as a director, the president and deputy secretary to the Party Committee of Baowu Group Guangdong Shaoguan Iron & Steel Group Co., Ltd. ( 寶武集團廣東韶關鋼鐵有限公司 ), and concurrently serves as the vice chairman, the deputy secretary to the Party Committee and legal representative of Guangdong Shaogang Songshan Co., Ltd. ( 廣東韶鋼松 山股份有限公司 ), the general representative of the synergy support project between Chongqing Iron & Steel Company Limited and Baowu. He successively served as an assistant to the head of the manufacturing management department of Baosteel Baogang Company ( 寶鋼股份寶鋼分公司 ), deputy head of the manufacturing management department of Baosteel Special Steel Company ( 寶鋼股份特殊鋼分 公司 ), deputy head and head of the manufacturing management department of Special Steel Business Unit of Baosteel ( 寶鋼股份特鋼事業部 ), head of the manufacturing management department and secretary to the Party Committee of the manufacturing quality control department in Baosteel Special Material and Baosteel Special Steel, assistant to the general manager of Baosteel Special Steel, assistant to the general manager (on secondment) of Shaoguan Iron & Steel ( 韶關鋼鐵), deputy general manager of Baosteel Special Steel and chairman of Baosteel Special Steel Changcai Co., Ltd.( 寶鋼特鋼長材有限公司 ), member of the Party Committee, director and deputy general manager/senior vice president (in charge) of Shaoguan Iron & Steel, as well as chairman of Guangdong Shaogang Songshan Co., Ltd. Mr. Liu has extensive experience in production, manufacturing, operation and management as well as corporate governance in the iron and steel engagements.

Mr. Liu graduated from Shanghai University of Technology （上海工業大學） majoring in metal pressure processing in 1996 and obtained a master’s degree in industrial engineering from Shanghai Jiao Tong University.

Mr. Liu Jianrong is not subject to any circumstance under which he shall not serve as the general manager of the Company according to the Company Law of the People’s Republic of China, the Articles of Association of Chongqing Iron & Steel Company Limited and other relevant laws and regulations.

The biographical details of Mr. Zou An

Zou An, born in November 1974, is a CPC member and a senior accountant. Mr. Zou currently serves as the deputy general manager of Baowu Group Environmental Resources Technology Co., Ltd. ( 寶武集團環境資源科技有限公司 ). He successively served as the director of accounting and taxation of the Finance Department, director of budget management, senior manager of performance evaluation of Baosteel Group, the director of the development, operation and finance department, assistant to president (acting), vice president and director of the operation and finance department of Baosteel Group, and the deputy general manager of Baowu Group Environmental Resources Technology Co., Ltd.

Mr. Zou graduated from the East China University of Metallurgy ( 華東冶金學院 ) in 1996, majoring in accounting, and then obtained a master’s degree in finance from Fudan University.

Mr. Zou An is not subject to any circumstance under which he shall not serve as a deputy general manager of the Company according to the Company Law of the People’s Republic of China, the Articles of Association of Chongqing Iron & Steel Company Limited and other relevant laws and regulations.

The biographical details of Mr. Xie Chao

Xie Chao, born in September 1981, is a CPC member and an engineer. Mr. Xie currently serves as an executive director and general manager of Sichuan Jiaye Investment and Development Co., Ltd. ( 四川佳業投資發展有限公司 ), and deputy general manager and secretary to Party’s branch of the purchase, supply and marketing department of Sichuan Desheng Group Vanadium & Titanium Co., Ltd. ( 四川德勝集團釩鈦有限公司 ). Mr. Xie successively served as the secretary to the Party Branch and director of the steel mill, director of the rolling mill and head of the marketing department in Sichuan Desheng Group Vanadium & Titanium Co., Ltd., general manager of Sichuan Jinde Investment Co., Ltd. ( 四川金德投資有限 責任公司 ), general manager of Chongqing Deqin Investment Co., Ltd. ( 重慶德 欽投資有限公司 ), head of the marketing department and the purchase and supply department in Sichuan Desheng Group Vanadium & Titanium Co., Ltd. and executive deputy general manager and head of the marketing department in Sichuan Desheng Supply Chain Management Co., Ltd. ( 四川德勝供應鏈管理有限公司 ).

Mr. Xie graduated from Chongqing University of Science & Technology majoring in metallurgy in 2000, completed his study in Leshan Normal University majoring in international economics and trade in 2016, and is now a postgraduate student major in Finance in Hong Kong Finance & Economics College.

Mr. Xie Chao is not subject to any circumstance under which he shall not serve as a deputy general manager of the Company according to the Company Law of the People’s Republic of China, the Articles of Association of Chongqing Iron & Steel Company Limited and other relevant laws and regulations.
