Item 5.02 Departure of Directors or Principal Officers; Election of Directors; Appointment of Principal Officers

This Amendment No. 1 to Current Report on Form 8-K/A (the “Amendment”) amends the Current Report on Form 8-K of WSFS Financial Corporation (“WSFS”) filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission on November 17, 2015, which reported the appointment of Kevin L. Thompson as WSFS’s Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer.

Mr. Thompson has informed WSFS that he has decided not to join the company so that he can remain with his family following their involvement in a serious automobile accident.

For further details, reference is made to the Press Release dated January 27, 2016, which is attached hereto as Exhibit 99 and incorporated herein by this reference.

Pending the appointment of a new chief financial officer, Rodger Levenson, Executive Vice President and Chief Corporate Development Officer, will continue to serve as WSFS’s interim Chief Financial Officer.
