SABIC and Plastic Energy award services contract for recycling unit
SABIC Plastic Energy Advanced Recycling B.V, a joint venture between SABIC and Plastic Energy, has awarded Worley a services contract for its new recycling unit in Geleen, The Netherlands.
The recycling unit will leverage Plastic Energy's patented recycling technology to transform plastic waste into recycled oils, called TACOIL. The TACOIL will then be used by SABIC as an alternative feedstock to manufacture plastic as part of SABIC’s TRUCIRCLE™ portfolio of solutions.
Under this contract, which is strategic to Worley’s pivot to sustainability, Worley will provide engineering, procurement and construction management services for the recycling unit. The term of the contract is two years.
The services will be executed by Worley’s UK and The Netherlands offices with support from Worley’s Global Integrated Delivery team in India.
