Worley awarded Celanese services contract for acetic acid unit in Texas
Worley has been awarded an engineering, procurement and construction contract by Celanese Ltd. (Celanese) for its new acetic acid unit in Clear Lake, Texas, USA.
Under the contract, Worley will provide EPC services with construction services provided from its new Houston fabrication facility. In addition, Worley will deliver fabrication modules, supplied under a previously awarded contract. The new acetic acid unit will deliver production flexibility, improved cost structure and increased production capability.
The contract follows the front - end engineering design services provided by Worley for the acetic acid unit. The construction services, including fabrication, will be provided out of Worley’s Houston locations.
