ASX Announcement
WORLEYPARSONS LIMITED (ASX:WOR)
Award of 3 year Services Contract for ConocoPhillips Australia
WorleyParsons announces that ConocoPhillips Australia Pty Ltd. has awarded WorleyParsons a three year Master Services Contract for provision of engineering and support services for its Australasian business unit. This contract has two options for 2 year extensions.
This contract covers an ongoing portfolio of projects and modifications for ConocoPhillips operated assets in Australasia including the Bayu Undan offshore facilities in the Timor Sea and the Darwin LNG Plant in Australia’s Northern Territory.
Assuming the levels of activity under the contract continue at the levels that have been typical over the last year, the revenue to WorleyParsons under the contract is expected to be approximately A$50 million over the base 3 year term.
This contract award continues an association with ConocoPhillips in Australia that started with key engineering and project delivery roles in the Bayu Undan development. WorleyParsons has held the ongoing engineering and support services contract for those facilities since they were commissioned. The scope of that original services contract was subsequently extended to cover the engineering and support services for the Darwin LNG plant.
As such the award of this new contract is effectively an extension of the arrangement that has been in place for the past 4 years.
WorleyParsons Chief Executive Officer, Mr John Grill, said:
“We are delighted to continue our long-standing relationship with ConocoPhillips and to renew this contract for a further 3 years. The ongoing performance of this contract is a testament to our expertise in delivering projects and services in a complex ‘brownfield’ environment and to the way we work in an integrated manner with our clients to help them achieve outstanding results”.
