Woolworths Limited Announces the Retirement of Non-Executive Director

Woolworths Limited today announced the retirement of Non-Executive Director, Ms Diane Grady at the conclusion of the Annual General Meeting on 18 November 2010.

Woolworths Chairman James Strong paid tribute to Ms Grady’s long term contribution. “Diane Grady joined the Woolworths Board in 1996. She has played a very significant role through this period of considerable growth and financial success. She has made particular contributions in areas such as organisational change, people strategy, understanding the customer experience, as well as championing the Company’s growth initiatives.”

Ms Grady said, “I have been delighted to be part of Woolworths’ impressive growth trajectory during the last 14 years and to have had the opportunity to be involved in many of the Company’s key leadership initiatives. It has been a privilege to work with a collegial Board and a management team which seeks and values Director contribution. I am very confident the Company is well placed to continue to grow and achieve positive results for its shareholders, customers and employees.”
