JANUARY 2025 TRAFFIC AND CO2 STATISTICS  

POSITIVE LOAD AND EMISSION TRENDS  CONTINUE

Geneva, 4 February 2025:  Wizz Air Holdings Plc ("Wizz Air"), one of the most sustainable European airlines, announces passenger and CO 2  emission statistics for January 2025. 

Wizz Air carried 4.93 million passengers during the month of January, a 4% increase year on year. Seat capacity was down 0.8% YoY, resulting in a load factor of 86%, 4 ppts up on last year's load factor of 82.0%.

During the month:  

·      The positive yield environment and booking profile continued into January, in line with commentary made in the airline's Q3 results announcement on 30th January 2025.

·      Wizz Air maintained the positive load factor trend that began in November 2024, with a 4ppt increase in January, following a 3.1ppt and 4.3ppt improvement in November and December, respectively.

·      Wizz Air continues to be one of the leading airlines in terms of lower emissions per passenger, reporting a 3.4% decline year on year in January's CO 2 emissions per RPK, with this coming in at 53.7 grammes, down almost 2 grammes per RPK.
