PROPOSED ACQUISITION OF BERKLEE BUSINESS BY MANUMATIC NOT TO PROCEED

Further to the announcement dated 28 August 2008, Berklee Limited (Berklee) (ASX code: BER) advises that the proposed acquisition of Berklee's business by Manumatic Industries Pty Ltd (Manumatic) will not proceed.

This follows advice received from Manumatic that funding constraints have prevented it from completion of the agreement signed on 28 August 2008 to acquire the Berklee business for the sum of \$10.9 million.

Although current trading conditions are difficult, Berklee's business remains solidly focused and well supported by its strong asset and low debt profile.
