ANNOUNCEMENT: APPOINTMENT OF NEW COMPANY SECRETARY

Berklee Limited is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr Wayne Lawes as Company Secretary as from 1 January 2003.

Mr Lawes joined Berklee Limited in 1990 as a financial accountant and in July 2001 was appointed to the senior position of Group Accountant. Mr Lawes is a Certified Practising Accountant and holds a Bachelor of Business Degree from the University of Ballarat and a CSA Graduate Diploma in Company Secretarial Practice.

The Board is confident that the experience and qualifications of Mr Lawes are well suited to his new position, and notes that it will allow Mr Edward van Berkel, who has been concurrently Company Secretary and Managing Director, to focus more broadly on managerial and strategic issues.
