Wiseway US Expansion

Wiseway Group Limited (ASX: WWG or Wiseway) announced today it will commence on the ground operations in the United States, with a new company branch based in Los Angeles starting from July 2021, in order to meet the growing customer demand for Trans-Pacific integrated logistics services.

This is a significant step in the company’s organic growth strategy. It strengthens its global integrated logistics service offering and enhances access for its existing customers to the US market, one of the largest freight and logistics markets in the world.

Mr Roger Tong, Wiseway Chief Executive Officer, commented, “Building on growing demand for Trans-Pacific logistics services from our existing customer base, I am pleased to announce that we have accelerated our growth in the US by establishing on-the-ground strategic presence in California.

‘’Establishing our local capabilities through our US branch will help meet the growing demand from our existing customers while opening new opportunities for revenue synergies and partnerships across Wiseway’s global network.

“This is an exciting milestone in our well measured growth journey which started in Australia more than ten years ago, and this step will expand our addressable market, diversify our income streams, and cement our position as a global freight and integrated logistics operator.’’

Wiseway has completed the required registration process and will operate a lean model for its in-country operations with a highly experienced team strategically based in Los Angeles, California.

Los Angeles is a strategic hub in Australia’s Trans��acific trade, being the largest inbound and out� bound freight destination in North America according to The Bureau of the Infrastructure, Transport, and Regional Economics (‘’BITRE’’) in 2020. It is also the fourth largest inbound freight destination globally, making it the ideal next step for Wiseway to expand and diversify its global operations.

Mr Tong added, “We have a strong track record in successfully growing our business across borders in new and complementary markets. Our experience in global operations and our strong balance sheet will ensure a smooth execution of this opportunity and create long-term value for our customers and shareholders.”

The new US route joins Wiseway’s expanding global network and operations across Australia, New Zealand and the Asia Pacific, including established branches in Guangzhou and Shanghai, and will allow the company to extend its operations to new shipping destinations.
