Wiseway appoints Chief Operating Officer and Company Secretary

Wiseway Group Limited (ASX: WWG, “ Wiseway ’’, or “ the Group ”), one of Australia’s leading integrated freight and logistics operators, has announced the appointment of Mr Ken Tong as Chief Operating Officer effective from 27[th] February 2023. He also replaces Mr Roger Tong as Company Secretary on the same date.

Commenting on the announcement, Chief Executive Officer Roger Tong, said: “We are thrilled to secure Ken Tong as Chief Operating Officer and Company Secretary.

“He joins from Boston Consulting Group where he has advised a variety of clients on business strategy and operational efficiency.

“Ken has lived and breathed the business for much of his life, including playing a key role in supporting the design and development of Wiseway’s strategy leading up to the IPO – and as Chief of Staff he took responsibility for a number of key operations and procedures.

“Importantly, Ken was instrumental in establishing critical business areas including the Company’s first customs bonded depots and quarantine and dairy approved premises.

“This appointment will support Wiseway’s efforts to accelerate business turnaround and capitalise on opportunities presented by its investments over the last few years.”

Appointee biography:

Ken Tong was a Management Consultant at Boston Consulting Group, and has advised clients across a number of areas including: strategy, transformation, value creation and procurement. He was previously Chief of Staff to CEO at Wiseway, and has also worked at Moelis & Company and J.P. Morgan. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce and Law (First Class Honours) from UNSW.
